How to get to Ucluelet Canada

Driving to Ucluelet From Vancouver, B.C.


Take the Horseshoe Bay ferry from North Vancouver to Departure Bay, Nanaimo or the Tsawwassen ferry to Duke Point, just south of Nanaimo. You will want to take the Tsawwassen ferry if you are driving from Washington or Oregon.

Driving directions from Nanaimo to Ucluelet

Drive north on highway 19 for just over 40 km or about 28 miles
Take Exit 60 onto Highway 4 towards Port Alberni.
At Port Alberni follow signs for Pacific Rim Highway towards Tofino and Ucluelet. The road is very scenic and winding. Enjoy the sights, and drive with caution.
Just past the Pacific Rim visitor center, turn left towards Ucluelet and Tofino, turn left towards Ucluelet. (Just follow signs!) There is limited cell phone service between Port Alberni and Ucluelet, so to save your cell phone battery, turn it to Airplane Mode.

Our boats are in the Boat Basin, directly across from the Canadian Princess Resort, the big white floating ship on your left as you come into town.

KD Air

is located Vancouver’s South Terminal. During May and June, 2013 KD Air offers one daily, scheduled flight direct to the Tofino-Long Beach Airport. During July and August this airline provides two scheduled flights direct to the Tofino-Long Beach Airport. Scheduled flights are also available to nearby Port Alberni and Qualicum Beach on Vancouver Island.
